day 188 of 365: Lo-lo-lo-lo- Lole

I had planned on taking a photo of the beautiful "snow day" we had today (no snow to be seen once I got out and about this afternoon...) but I was already on my way to work when I tried to take the photo and the camera reminded me I'd forgotten to replace the memory card. Ah well. I got this new shirt at the shop tonight however (woot for employee discount!) It's a bit wrinkled from being folded up in the bag, but you get the idea. It's so cute and I can't wait till it's warm again! I have several skirts it will look so cute with! Lole is the cute, casual line we carry in the shop. I love their clothes and am already eyeing a couple of other pieces. I have to act quickly because the normal person sizes sell out quickly.

And yes, this was taken in my bathroom. No judging please! It was just the one place I could hang the shirt to take the photo!

Day 179 of 365: Free!

These are my new Pumas! I love them! Very cushy and comfortable. I got them from the running shop on Friday. Puma is introducing some new models and gave several pairs for the employees to try out. And I got a pair! Yippee! :)

Oh, and I love this little detail on the inner shoe liner:

"Pre-release edition" Fun!!

Day 155 of 365: There's no place like home

Some days, you just want to get home. These long nights kill me sometimes, especially when there are several in a row. I stopped here at the gas station on the way home from the running shop since the light had come on for low gas level! Plus, prices have been steadily increasing again. I wanted to get filled up before it shot up. Of course, afterwards I got caught at the red light waiting to turn left. I wanted to get out and push the other cars out of my way! Fortunately, a few minutes later, I was finally walking in the door to home.

Day 109 of 365: CHEATER!

So, Saturday, I was just uninspired.... I didn't take one photo. :( I realized this a few minutes after midnight, of course! Gah! So, days 109 and 110 are a twofer. Sunday night, the running shop I work at had its annual Christmas party. It takes place at the Ritz Carlton Lake Oconee. We are treated to a WONDERFUL dinner (the best crème brulee I've ever had!) and a night at the Ritz! Needless to say, I had a great time. I swear I have been out of the house before, but I had to giggle when I walked into the bathroom and saw this phone! It reminds me of the episode of Friends when Joey has just received his first paycheck from working on Days of Our Lives and has a phone installed in his bathroom. Chandler is the first to say, "please, don't ever call me from that phone!" Me, I was thinking of who I should call first! :D

Day 57 of 365: Driving home

The view I saw while driving home from Fleet Feet tonight. The sky was beautiful but I couldn't catch it well enough in the photos I was able to take. That's a co-worker driving home in the red convertible to the right of the frame. This is only about 7:00. It's really getting dark here early. Winter is coming, I guess. :(

Day 34 of 365: Brannock device

Look what I got to play with! It's the thing they use to measure your feet for shoes. Who knew that it had a name?! There's actually a technique to using it correctly! :)

Day 21 of 365: Shoes shoes shoes!

Here's a view of some shoes at work! I told them about the Project 365 so they wouldn't think I was a total nutter taking photos at work! :) Here's a view of the women's shoes, including my favorite Mizunos!

Oh, and here's a co-worker that I just met today and was desperate to be in my blog today! His name is Tom.

Day 20 of 365: First day! :)

So here's the first day information packet I got tonight. It's chock full of fun rules like dress code (no running tights, especially the men! Thank GOD!) and tax forms to fill out. The first day went very well. Everyone is nice and it's pretty laid back. I am anxious to know stuff, though, so I don't feel so lost! I really felt awkward since I couldn't immediately help customers. Training is mainly done on the job, so it will be a few weeks till I get comfortable, I guess. Looks like I have some bedtime reading to do tonight, though, since I work again tomorrow night! I'm exhausted, but looking forward to my first paycheck in a few weeks! :D

Day 16 of 365: New job!

Well, I had my interview here at the running store this afternoon and was promptly offered the job! Super excited. Not only have I kind of wanted to work at a running store for a while now, this is how I will help finance the big move.... :) I took this from my car in the car park right after the interview. I tried to be discreet and I hope they didn't see me! That'd be embarrassing! I start next week! :)
