Day 169 of 365: Chuck!

Chuck is the organist for the Thrashers. Here he is in action! He also is the church organist at Mandy's friend Cathy's church on Sundays. We've known him for a couple of years now. (I know him through Mandy, of course). He has extra seats in his organ booth that he basically lets anyone sit in, first come first served! He sits right at the center of the middle balcony. I think these are the best seats in the house, to be honest. Last night we watched the 2nd period from this area. Always a blast, especially when he plays the "Let's go Jesus" chant song! (That's the words Mandy and I made up to go along with the "Let's go Thrashers" chant.) We are trying to convince Chuck to play it in church one Sunday!!!

Day 114 of 365: Sid the Kid

Despite losing to the Pens tonight, it was a fun game. I was in section 120 behind the goalie and had a great view! Here's the golden boy of the Pens at the moment. Hopefully you can appreciate how close I really was! Best part is that there are 3 more games Mandy has tickets to in these seats. Woot!

Day 108 of 365: It's hockey night tonight!

I took TONS of photos this night, due to playing with the continuous shooting function. There were several good fights and if I point and shoot while holding down the shutter button, I can catch some really great action shots. I have a wonderful series from the Valabik/Thornton fight! I chose this one, though because, well, I love the cool position of Eric Perrin (left). He's at a 45 degree angle to the ice! Oh and I love it because it's got my favorite player in the shot: Eric Perrin! There are rumors that he may be looking for a trade. I'm seriously hoping it's all talk and that he decides to stay with the Thrashers.

Day 63 of 365: PUCK! :(

This is from tonight's slaughter, uh, hockey game vs. the Philadelphia Flyers. Quite a disappointment- we lost 7-0!!! I love this shot, though. The colors, the composition, and the fact that my favorite player (Eric Perrin) is in the photo!!

Day 39 of 365: THRASHERS!!

Oh sweet hockey. How I've missed you.

Too bad we lost to the St. Louis Blues 4-1 in this game. Thank goodness it was just a pre-season game and doesn't count!

Day 11 of 365- Hockey

Yes, I miss hockey. I miss it bad! I've been re-watching the Stanley Cup finals games on the NHL channel. It was nice to see Pittsburgh whoop Philly's butts again 6-0 in the round-clinching game! Even my boy Dupuis got a nice goal!! Just a few more weeks till I get to see live hockey again! It's been a loooooooong off-season! Whatever will I do next year???????? I'm going to enjoy every moment of this season for sure!

And sorry for the carp photo quality. It was the best I could do to take a photo of the television! It does weird effects to a camera!
